As You Prepare to List Your Home

Questions I’ll Ask You During the Initial Meeting

When someone asks me to come to their home to discuss listing it for sale, there are some questions I usually ask to help me get a better understanding of your situation so that, if you decide to hire me, I have a basis for building an effective marketing plan.

Think about these things before I visit, if possible. Thoughtful answers help me a great deal to be sure that I am the right professional to help you and help me to sell your home quickly for the best price and with the least hassle.

What attracted you to purchase this home when you did? By telling me this, it will help me see what others would similarly be attracted to – was it the neighborhood, close proximity to your work, the design of the home, the lot it is on, etc?

What do you feel you will miss most about this home once you move? This helps me to see what are the most valuable things you feel are in the home or the neighborhood so I can stress those to prospective buyers.

Do you have any concerns about the selling process? Are there any questions you’d like to ask me that have crossed your mind prior to our meeting? If you jot them down, I can address them right away during our meeting, which should help put your mind at ease.

I look forward to meeting you soon!
