Let’s talk about why would you hire me, Karen Foster, as the listing agent who’ll help you sell your Columbia, SC area home!


You may know someone who has sold a home without the help of a real estate agent. You can drive around town today and see FSBO signs in front yards and maybe you’re thinking about going it alone yourself… (I have a few tips I’ll share in a future blog for folks who want to go that route!)


But today I’m talking to you, who like all of us, are super busy with what life has to offer and the last thing you need is the stress that selling your home yourself can bring. You recognize the value of hiring a professional Realtor (hopefully me!) to help you navigate this experience. (Check out my home page here to read what a few of my clients have said about me.)

We’re all super busy!

Unlike many agents who work in the field part-time, real estate is my full-time job. From our first conversation until beyond your closing date – my job is to keep the process going smoothly, allowing YOU to do all you have to do in a day. You do your full-time work and I do mine – and we will get to the closing table together!

As YOUR Realtor, I follow the OLD CAR acronym

Obedience: As your Realtor I educate, advise, suggest and guide you through the process… however I obey your lawful instructions ~ you call the shots!
Loyalty: As your Realtor my loyalty and best interests are mainly to my clients and to no one else. Loyal to your best interest, even if it means forgoing my own best interest.  
Disclosure: As your Realtor I must disclose any material fact about the transaction, including my relationship to other parties.
Confidentiality: As your Realtor it is my responsibility to keep your confidential information between us and this confidentiality continues after the closing.
Accountability: As your Realtor I am accountable to keep copies of all documents and accounting of all funds pertaining to the transaction for a certain amount of time. South Carolina requires a minimum of 5 years.
Reasonable care/diligence: As your Realtor I am expected to give reasonable care to all things related to your real estate transaction. From the first time we have a conversation through your closing and beyond, it is my duty to care for your business of selling or buying a property.
